Biggest reading slump ever.

Where have you been? I cannot, for the life of me, pick up a book. I am aware that I have not written a review in more than two years, my fault, I was just oh-so-consumed by college and life that I forgot reading, you know, my favorite hobby since I was 9 years old, existed. But oh well, this is an attempt to pick up the habit again, hoping somehow to be consumed by a divine grace that lets me enjoy reading for fucking once.  So, have I really not read a single book since November 2020? That seems unprovable, and it is. The truth is, I've read exactly twelve books since that date and every single one of them was less than 400 pages long and didn't require much thinking to get through it. I could blame all this on "A Little Life", I really could, but it wouldn't be fare. The thing is, I enjoy reading, I always have and always will, life has just been sucking more than usual lately and I can only stomach to read literature that is fluffy and cute, you know? opposite...

A Little Life / Una pequeña vida - Hanya Yanagihara

  An actual tearjerker.  Seldom do I find the time to read books this lenghty, however when I do take the time out of my hectic  "college-student schedule", I like nothing more than to pick up an engaging story to read. Being a bit of a book worm myself, I thoroughly enjoy watching booktubers talk about their favorite reads of the month, so you can only imagine the amount of times I´ve heard this book being brought up. I was fully aware of the fact that I was dealing with an exceedingly polarizing book, yet I found myself itching to read it. Having never read a book of this kind and knowing that it was going to be a roller-coaster of emotions, I felt extremely out of my comfort zone. Nevertheless, with a sense of trepidation and not knowing exactly what to expect, I embarked on an emotionally draining journey.
